"Turning 30 was a big deal to me, mainly because other 30 year olds I knew scared me into believing weight loss after 30 is difficult.

I've been exercising since I was 17 but have always struggled with my diet and finding the right weight training program. I started purchasing fitness magazines for motivation and to increase my knowledge of training. After seeing the fitness competitors in the magazines, I decided that I wanted to compete at least once in my life. That was my goal at 25.

The years passed by and before I knew it, 2004 was approaching with my 30th birthday around the corner. So I decided 2004 would be the year I compete. I had no idea how to prepare myself for competition but I knew I needed a trainer. John Paul was not only my trainer but also a friend who inspired and motivated me everyday. He educated me on the use of supplements and changed my diet and training regiment. His encouragement helped me reach my goal.

In 2004 I competed in the Fame Fitness & Model Competition. I feel better at 30 than I did at 20. I lost 16 lbs and 8% in body fat. That amazed my husband, friends and family. I now know you are never too old to set goals and achieve them.

"I have been training with John Paul for just over a year and a half and in that time I have seen tremendous results. He has completely altered my viewpoint on nutrition and strength training.

For the longest time, I was frustrated with my results in the gym so I decided to search for a personal trainer. During that period, I was experiencing stomach issues and problems digesting my food.
